As believers in Jesus Christ, we are to be an example of the glorious truth that God saves sinners. We are to be a living example of God’s mercy. (1Tim.1:16; 4:12; Titus 2:6:8) The purpose of all believers is to go and make disciples of all nations. (Matthew 2:19-20; 2 Tim. 2:2) Our primary purpose is to go after every person. We must try to reach every soul and present every person to God as a mature and complete believer in Christ Jesus. (Col. 1:28) Above all else we are to be a witness to the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ came to the earth so that we might have life through Him, that we would have both abundant and eternal life. Jesus came to save us from the enslavement of sin, death, and judgement to come. Believers have been called by Christ to witness His salvation. Believers are not to be ashamed of the gospel. (2 Tim. 1:8) Believers are to proclaim with all authority the death of Jesus Christ strongly and boldly. (Titus 2:14-15) Believers are to be an ambassador for Christ. (2 Cor. 5:20) Apart from prayer and the Word of God this will not be possible. We must be consistent in the Scriptures: studying and living as the scripture dictates. (2 Tim 3:14) Must be in prayer always, moment by moment striving to gain an unbroken consciousness with the Lord. Prayer is the first duty of every believer. (Col. 4:2-4)
